Tampere Tango Festival -viikonlopun ohjelma sisältää argentiinalaisen tangon alkeiskurssin sekä erikois-workshopeja vierailevien opettajien johdolla. Lisäksi ohjelmassa on päivä- ja iltamilongoita, joista lauantain iltamilongassa pääsemme nauttimaan arvostettujen opettajien huikeasta esityksestä.

Tarinamme
15 vuoden ajan olemme saaneet nauttia yhdestä Suomen merkittävimmistä tangotapahtumasta, Maailmantango-festivaalista, joka valitettavasti tuli tiensä päätökseen vuonna 2022. Nyt olemme iloisia voidessamme ilmoittaa ensimmäisestä Tampere Tango Festival -tapahtumasta vuonna 2023!
Vaikka emme voi kuvitella vastaavaa mittakaavaa ja vaikutusta, jonka Maailmantango on vuosien varrella tuonut Suomen tangokulttuuriin, haluamme tällä uudella festivaalilla jatkaa argentiinalaisen tangon ilosanoman levittämistä. Toiveenamme on Maailmantangon tapaan saada vastaanottaa vierailijoita ympäri maata ja maailmaa, joiden kanssa jakaa lämpimiä alkusyksyn abrazoja!
Koko Tampereen tangoyhteisö on yhdistänyt voimansa tehdäkseen tästä projektista totta, ja meillä on ilo ja kunnia saada tukea ja kokemusta niin Anna Toivoselta kuin festivaalin suojelijalta, Simón Riestra Aedolta. Heidän osallistumisensa rikastuttaa epäilemättä festivaalin tarjontaa ja varmistaa unohtumattoman kokemuksen kaikille osallistujille.
Odotamme innolla tangon juhlistamista Tampere Tango Festivalin merkeissä ja toivomme kaikkien tangon harrastajien, tanssijoiden ja argentiinalaisen kulttuurin ystävien tulevan mukaan tähän ainutlaatuiseen tapahtumaan. Tule mukaan tanssimaan ja nauttimaan tangosta!

The program of the Tampere Tango Festival features a beginners’ course in Argentine tango, along with special workshops led by our esteemed guest teachers. Additionally, we have both daytime and evening milongas, with the Saturday evening milonga being a highlight where we get to savor the incredible show put on by the guest teachers.
Would you like to be part of a delightful milonga weekend? Are you interested in taking classes with exceptional teachers? Do you have the desire to learn and dance the enchanting Argentine tango?

Our history
After 15 years of enjoying one of the most important tango festivals in Finland, the Maailmantango festival, which regrettably ended its last edition in 2022, we are happy to announce the first edition of the Tampere Tango Festival 2023. As we can’t imagine equalizing the dimension and the impact that World Tango has had over the years on the culture of tango in Finland, this festival arises as a necessity to continue with the important task of spreading Argentine tango in all its expressions. Also with the desire to continue with the tradition of receiving visitors from all over the world and Finland in Tampere and the world to share the best milonguero hugs in mid-autumn.
All the tango community of Tampere has united to make this project a reality, and we have the honor and the joy of counting with the support and experience of Anna Toivonen as well as Simón Riestra Aedo as the festival’s patron. Their involvement will undoubtedly enrich the festival’s offerings and ensure a memorable experience for all attendees.
We look forward to celebrating the beauty and passion of tango during the Tampere Tango Festival 2023, and we extend a warm invitation to tango enthusiasts, dancers, and lovers of Argentine culture to join us in this extraordinary event.
